ACLCA – Student presentation at Inaugural Griffith University Engineering Industry Night

Dear Members

ACLCA Executive Committee and Early Career Professionals Subcommittee (ECPSc) are looking at new strategies on encouraging engagement of University students to the CLM industry.

The strategies would involve communications across all universities in Qld.

Helen Jones ACLCA President and Zoe Baxter ECPSC Co-chair, presented at Griffith University Engineering Industry Night on the 25th March 2024. The presentation attracted a lot of interest from students and faculty.

A big thank you is offered to Zoe for sharing her Journey with students.

‘ACLCA was excited to be invited to present at the Inaugural Griffith University Engineering Industry Night to present on what the ACLCA is and does, and what working in the contaminant and remediation industry looks like.

Helen Jones, ACLCA President and I, as Early Career Professional Subcommittee Co-chair, delivered an informative presentation to the next generation of engineers and scientists. There was some great enthusiasm for what the industry has to offer, including discussions around innovative solutions to modern and legacy issues… and of course being able to work around big trucks and planes on the daily. It was an absolute pleasure to see so many excited students showing interest in the Contaminated Land Industry’.
