27th March 2024 Brisbane Women in Contaminated Land Industry Breakfast Workshop

ACLCA Qld was excited to hold the next event focusing on Women in Contaminated Land Industry. Women advocates (ie Men) were also welcome.

This event was held in the Month that celebrates International Women’s Day.

Workshop Theme: Empowerment. ‘Breaking the imposter barrier: Identifying and overcoming Imposter Syndrome’

The 90-minute workshop on Impostor Syndrome, was led by experienced facilitator. Nathalie ‘delved into the roots and types of Impostor Syndrome, exploring its signs and symptoms from research findings, while relating them to real-life examples and scenarios. Through engaging in small group discussions, participants will identify how Impostor Syndrome manifests within their own lives and industries, fostering increased awareness and recognition. Explore practical techniques to overcome it, including self-talk pattern identification, reframing beliefs, self-compassion and practical mindfulness. Practice a selection of strategies in small groups and create a personalised action plan in the workbook provided. Leave equipped with valuable resources and recommendations for further support and learning, ensuring continued growth and development beyond the session.’ Nathalie Panić-Vaucher.

All in attendance enjoyed the opportunity to focus on a topic that helps in identifying strategies for self-benefit both in their personal and work lives. The format of the workshop also offered great networking opportunities, especially in meeting new industry peers.
