This month we are joined by 2 presenters – David Springer and Jason Scarborough who will be discussing ethical issues in the CLM industry.
“Laboratory Report Fraud – It happens more often than you think!”, David Springer (Envirolab)
David will discuss and show actual examples of consultants fraudulently changing a laboratories’ reports. This will be an eye opening presentation and a must see for any consultant reviewing lab reports.
David is Envirolab’s advocate and a key figure in the science industry. He tirelessly represents Envirolab at conferences, forums and universities, fostering strong industry relationships. His strategic vision and leadership have been instrumental in Envirolab’s ongoing growth and success. And with a PFOS in blood level at 6ppb, exactly the same for the last 8 years, he believes he is now in a state of PFAS equilibrium with the universe.
“It is legal, but is it right?”, Jason Scarborough (JS Regulatory Services)
With a focus on recovered resources, Jason will discuss three case studies covering self-sampling, analytical retesting of samples, and only testing the “required” contaminants as he believes these will provide some good lessons for consultants.
After over 25 years accumulated experience and education in the environmental sector across private industry, local government and state government, Jason is now plying his skills in his own business. He is a specialist in regulation and compliance from both a frontline and strategic perspective. Jason is also a fierce advocate for building capacity in local government, especially in rural and regional areas, to manage complex regulatory challenges. Jason is not afraid to question the status quo and one-size-fits-all solutions, especially where scientific evidence and technology provide avenues to better outcomes. He also is not afraid to speak the truth. Jason loves finding innovative and workable solutions for difficult challenges that provide win-win outcomes – and having a few laughs on the journey.
