Navigating Challenges in Contaminated Land Fieldwork: A Practical Guide for Environmental Consultants (or Planning for the Inevitable When Conducting Field Work in Remote Locations with No Mobile Signal), presented by John Ewing, GHD.

In the realm of contaminated land management, early career environmental consultants often face significant challenges during fieldwork, particularly in remote areas with limited communication. This presentation offers a comprehensive guide for new consultants, focusing on the intricacies of groundwater sampling and problem-solving techniques. Through visual demonstrations and real-world scenarios, attendees will learn the importance of preparation, effective communication with project managers, and practical solutions to common fieldwork issues. The presentation also highlights the significance of thorough documentation and introduces valuable tools to enhance fieldwork efficiency. Aimed at both new consultants and seasoned project managers, this session aims to equip attendees with the skills and knowledge necessary to navigate the complexities of contaminated land fieldwork effectively.

About our presenter:

John’s role as a Team Leader and Project Director in GHD’s Sydney Contamination and Environmental Management group demonstrates his leadership and managerial skills in overseeing complex projects, and his accreditation as a Certified Environmental Practitioner – Site Contamination Specialist underscores his dedication to maintaining high standards in his field.
