2023 Achiever Award winner, Emily Smith (GHD), with 2022 winner, Ola Rachid (GHD), above.
We are very excited to confirm all the details for one of our most important annual events, the ACLCA NSW Achiever Award 2024. Since starting the (then) Young Achiever Award in NSW in 2008, we are very pleased to see this event grow in popularity every year and become an event also held by other ACLCA state chapters.
Calling all EARLY CAREER PROFESSIONALS –
abstract submissions are now open!
For all you young achievers out there, this event is an excellent opportunity to build your profile and advance your career and we always receive great feedback from our winner on the whole experience of giving a presentation to ACLCA NSW members and then, of course, at a large conference with other state ACLCA winners!
If you are under 32 years of age and have less than 5 years experience in the CLM industry, ACLCA NSW would like to give you the opportunity to present at our annual Achiever Award event.
Do you have a contaminated land issue you are passionate about? Or an interesting project you have been involved in?
Submit your abstract using the guidelines provided by Friday 31st May.
Four abstracts will be chosen for presentation to our members and the judging panel at the Achiever Award presentation night on Thursday 27th June which is kindly being hosted by AECOM.
We are considering the option of virtual presentations for our members outside Sydney. Please contact us if you are interested in this option.
Abstracts & presentations will be judged on slightly different criteria (full details in the abstract submission guidelines provided), but generally on:
PROJECT – how it advanced your knowledge, describes how outcomes were reached for the client.
PERSONAL INVOLVEMENT – personal role & value-add to the project, lessons learnt from the project and how it has influenced your career.
PRESENTATION – eye contact, confidence, clarity.
The Achiever Award winner is sponsored to the value of $2000 to attend and present at Cleanup 2024 representing ACLCA NSW at the ECP session on 17/9. CleanUp 2024 is being held in Adelaide from 15-19 September.
Members on our email distribution list have now received the event flyer which contains full event & prize details (link below) and the abstract submission guidelines.
Please contact us if you are a member and do not currently receive our emails.
