2023 Achiever Award results

Wednesday 26th July was the presentation evening for our annual Achiever Award and we were very pleased to have so many members turn up to support our presenters with over 60 members in attendance and more joining us online.  Thank you to WSP (especially Imogen Powell & Amy Valentine for their efforts on the night!) who kindly hosted the event for us.

We had a range of very interesting presentations on the night:-

Rianna Santos (ERM) – “Method to the madness: The quest for the optimum groundwater sampling methodology.”

Emily Smith (GHD) – “A digital approach to capturing physical contamination.”

Jessica Whitehead (Environmental Earth Sciences) – “Landfills and graduates – what a load of rubbish!”

Oscar Godfrey (EP Risk Management) – “A new perspective on a legacy contamination – natural attenuation of Hexavalent Chromium.”

Thank you so much to all of our presenters who gave such interesting & professional presentations.  We appreciate the work they put into preparing their presentations as well as the nerves involved in presenting (not that it showed!)  Every year we are impressed by the high standard of presentations which shows we have some very talented members in the early stages of their careers.

We would also like to thank our judges for their time – Anne Colville (UTS), Giselle Goloy (NSW EPA) and our NSW EPA accredited site auditor Chris Jewell (C.M. Jewell & Associates).
