The scholarship aims to support research in the field of contaminated land management and related areas such as soil and water pollution, hydrogeology, remediation technologies, risk assessment, or environmental policy. Its purpose is to advance industry-relevant knowledge while fostering collaboration between the University and industry partners.

Title: Australian Contaminated Land Consultants Association South Australia Research Project Scholarship
Scholarship Value: Up to a maximum $10,000.
Scholarship duration: 12 months (1 x academic year, or part thereof if the work can be completed sooner).
Payment term: 2 x equal progress installments at the end of each semester of the academic year (or equivalent time breakdown if the project is being completed in a shorter timeframe)
Enrolment status: Continuing students
Level of Study: Undergraduate, Honours, Masters, PhD
Selection basis: Industry relevance and academic merit
Benefits
The scholarship will have a value of up to $10,000 (determined by research funding needs), to be paid in 2 x equal progress instalments at the end of each semester of the academic year, or 2 x part payments over the course of the project if the project is being completed in a shorter timeframe (subject to satisfactory academic progress in the student’s overall coursework and satisfactory progress reporting at end of semesters 1 and 2 and presentation of final report prior to end of semester 3, or other regular progress reporting per mutual agreement if project is being completed over a shorter timeframe than 1 x academic year).
Eligibility
To be eligible for the award of this scholarship a student must be:
- An Australian citizen; or New Zealand citizen; or have been granted permanent resident status; or are international citizens on an Australian student visa;
- Studying currently at either the Adelaide University or the Flinders University; and
- Prepared to present to ACLCA on progress in 3 x instalments (progress report at end of semester 1 and 2 and final report at end of semester 3 – or equivalent progress reports across the project timeframe if project is being completed over a shorter duration)
Selection Criteria
The scholarship will be awarded by ACLCA SA on the basis of the proposed project’s relevance to current industry issues and academic merit.
