EPA’s Contaminated Land Notifications Team is pleased to present to ACLCA Victoria on the Duty to Notify of Contaminated Land.
Presenters:
Mason Bonacci is a senior field specialist – contaminated land at EPA Victoria. Mason has a master’s degree in environmental and analytical chemistry. Since joining EPA in 2019 he has worked in range of roles across EPA providing specialised support related to the impacts of chemicals on human health and the environment. As an Authorised Officer under the Environment Protection Act 2017, Mason has powers to investigate, monitor and support compliance with Victoria’s environmental laws. Currently working in EPA’s Operations Division, he provides specialist technical and regulatory support related to contaminated land.
Jason Whitby is a senior field specialist – contaminated land at EPA Victoria and has a degree in geology and chemistry. After spending 20+ years as a contaminated land consultant, Jason joined EPA in 2021 to support the duty to notify of contaminated land function as well as provide subject matter expertise across EPA in relation to contaminated land matters. Jason is an Authorised Officer under the Environment Protection Act 2017.
