Early Career Professionals & Consultants who want to hone their contaminated soil logging skills.
Course Content
The description and classification of fill material is an essential skill for contaminated site investigations. This 3 hour workshop will focus on identifying and describing fill material (for example, ash, staining, odorous material or various types of waste) with a practical hands-on component.
It is assumed attendees have a basic understanding of soil description such as that provided in the Soil Science Australia soil logging courses or are familiar with the Unified Soil Classification system (USCS). If attendees don’t have this basic knowledge set, then attendance will provide a basic introduction to how these classifications are applied.
Date: Wednesday 24th July 2025
Time: 9.00-13.30pm A light lunch will be provided during the end of the workshop
Venue: Brisbane City Council Community Hall – Toowong Community Hall, Josling Street, Toowong.
