4 March 2026 ECP AIR-MET Equipment Workshop: Low-Flow Sampling and Gas Calibration

4 March 2026: The Executive Committee and Early Career Professionals Subcommittee (ECPSc) offer appreciation to Air-Met Scientific for hosting an ‘Equipment Workshop: Low-Flow Sampling & Gas Calibration’ for ACLCA Early Career Professionals (ECPs).  The workshop was a valuable opportunity for all participants.

This technical workshop provided practical training on the operation, preparation, and troubleshooting of essential field equipment. The workshop focused on maintaining data integrity and equipment performance during groundwater sampling and gas monitoring.

Participant feedback

“Greg and Roy from Air-met went above and beyond to go through common equipment issues and in-field situations that come up due to the different conditions of wells”  Courtney Neville Environmental Scientist i-Environmental

“The session was practical and well structured, accommodating participants across different skill levels. Low flow sampling and gas calibration are fundamental field skills that support reliable groundwater monitoring and accurate environmental data collection. The workshop refreshed groundwater sampling best practice, including equipment setup, calibration, and maintaining stable flow conditions to obtain representative samples. Seeing the equipment up close and discussing practical field considerations helped reinforce how small details in the field can strengthen data quality during groundwater investigations. Great to also connect with industry colleagues”. Nomusa Nzama Consultant, Environment and Planning Aurecon
